Established Features of NanoRISC™
Chikujee’s NanoRISC™ technology offers the following
advantages:
Modular delivery systems
– The targeted delivery vehicle encapsulates the siRNA along
with stabilizers and image contrast agents to form uniform
core-shell particles. Analysis has shown that these
particles are spherical. The manufacturing technology allows
the manufacturing of 10-100 nm nanoparticles of uniform
size.
Engineered for Life Sciences:
The nanoparticles contain an engineered surface that is
non-cytotoxic, non-immunogenic and biochemically inert
except for the precisely known engineered for functional
groups. The delivery vehicles do not show toxicity,
complement activation, histamine release, immunogenic
reaction or adverse physiological response in in vitro
or in vivo pre-clinical studies.
Transparent to the immune system
–The delivery vector allows for repeat dosing without the
risk of immune reactions. Unlike lipid delivery vehicles,
the NanoBindi-based NanoRISC™ delivery system does not cause
an interferon response.
Safety
– Has been shown to be non-toxic in in vitro
testing with human cell cultures, and the fully functional
NanoBindi/siRNA particles exhibits a significant therapeutic
window of safety in animals, even when repeated doses are
used.
Stable under physiological conditions
– Particles have been shown to be stable under physiological
conditions.
Efficient in targeted delivery
– Chikujee and its partners are testing successful delivery
of functional siRNA therapeutics to tumor cells and to
hepatocytes by systemic administration and confirmed
sequence-specific gene inhibition.
Fully integrated system
– Chikujee has made significant advances in the design and
development of non-viral, nanoparticle based delivery
systems that overcome the extra- and intra-cellular barriers
to siRNA delivery. The company is the only one to integrate
both siRNA technology with delivery technology to create an
effective siRNA therapeutic.
